Here’s a simple recipe for sautéed cabbage and beef bacon:
Ingredients:
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
6 slices of beef bacon, chopped
1 small onion, diced (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the beef bacon: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped beef bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the beef bacon pieces from the pan and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
Sauté the onion (optional): If you’re using onion, add it to the pan with the beef bacon grease and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
Cook the cabbage: Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir to coat in the beef bacon grease. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and begins to caramelize.
Add beef bacon: Return the cooked beef bacon to the skillet and stir it in with the cabbage. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve: Serve hot as a side dish or as a main course.
