Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for the best egg salad. Perfect for sandwiches or on its own!


Best Egg Salad Recipe


Ingredients:


6 large eggs


1/4 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)


1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)


1/4 cup celery, finely chopped


2 tbsp red onion, finely chopped


1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped (optional)


Salt and pepper, to taste


Lettuce leaves (for serving, optional)


Bread or crackers (for serving, optional)


Instructions:


Boil the Eggs:


Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.


Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit for about 10-12 minutes.


Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for about 5 minutes, then peel and chop them.


Mix the Salad:


In a bowl, combine the chopped eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, and herbs. Mix gently to combine.


Season with salt and pepper to taste.


Serve:


Serve the egg salad on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
